Partners and Fellow Benefits

Clearly, to operate in any one of the five types of industry, everyone is required to demonstrate to their constituents, customers, clients and the public at large, how they:

  • Contribute to society, through responsible use of their “Social License”, something that is earned, not granted;
  • Give back from the returns on investment, not only to shareholders who invest in them, or taxpayers who elect them or pay rates, but also to the communities in which they operate in recognition of what the community givers up in other lost opportunities, workforce, and futures;
  • Use and develop the environment is a responsible way;
  • Achieve tangible results from the investment of taxpayer dollars; and;
  • Collaborate between other Societies and organizations to amplify the achievement of goals to which people commit themselves.

It is expected that people and organizations who contribute at these levels have strong beliefs and affinity with the scope of OCEAN Industries BC and the organization, its Board of Directors and Staff, Associate Consultants and all Members will work to acknowledge these contributors in everything they do.
